Questions after Alokai rebranding

After the rebranding and introducing new terminology/project names, some things are a bit confusing. Some questions: There's a repository: https://github.com/vuestorefront/vue-storefront 1. I understand it's the open source VSF 2. Is the open source version unofficially dead and only way to use Vue/Alokai Storefront is to go Enterprise? 2. Magento SDK/Middleware - will this be kept up to date with Magento updates? For example latest 2.4.7. 3. There's a boilerplate repository: https://github.com/vuestorefront/storefront-nuxt3-boilerplate 3.1 Is this now a legacy repo and should not be used for new projects? 3.2 Can it consume the open source Magento SDK as a drop-in or major refactoring is needed? Overall we try to facilitate the following need: Start a new modern storefront projects that are not Enterprise and they run on Magento. Is the Alokai still suitable or after rebranding and the recent changes towards closed/enterprise, it's not an option?

I'd piggyback on those questions - what is the recommended non-enterprise path for the Magento 2?

@CyberPanda This thread might add some clarity: https://discord.com/channels/770285988244750366/1222864672273727559/1222933886456037446 It would be good if @rohrig could provide answers to the specific questions asked here though. I also have those same questions.

@Darren R have you gotten any new information or understanding about those questions?

@Siber I have no new information. I get the impression that unless you go enterprise, support is now very limited. We have been using Vue Storefront 2 for a couple of years, but are really struggling to see a path forward with our projects using the Open Source solutions. Our current plan is to create our own Nuxt 3 storefront and use the Alokai Magento SDK to connect to Magento (although we might end up creating our own Middleware too).

I found the QA session with founders which answers some questions. Yet I can't see/find the vision/path/roadmap for the open source. https://www.youtube.com/live/p_AdxGNW8xI?t=413s

We too have spent so much hours to figure out the path for open source yet all we can see now is that alokai seems to be either not really giving so much support to open source implementation; or they're lacking a comprehensive documentation. Really want to hear an answer to this question.

Hi everyone, I'll make an internal ticket to add guidance to our docs. Here's the current guidance: We have a Magento2 SDK based integration which you can use with any frontend. Docs here: https://docs.alokai.com/integrations/magento You can use one of our boilerplates if you'd like a head start on the frontend: https://github.com/vuestorefront/storefront-nuxt3-boilerplate https://github.com/vuestorefront/storefront-next13-boilerplate I know this is not a plug-n-play solution as it will require some work to integrate the Magneto SDK and the Boilerplate together. This is the current state of things for OS.

Hi @rohrig Would you advise we start with the generic Nuxt3 boilerplate you linked to above and ignore this one? https://github.com/TidycodeIT/nuxt3-magento-sdk-storefront
