How would you style these sandals?

I couldn't find any used fisherman's but found these interesting looking sandals instead. What do you guys think of them and how would you style them?

i personally am not a fan but i can see the vision with effective styling were it me i'd go for an take on riviera style - big pants, linen or lightweight shirt, sunglasses, jewelry if so inclined
