its bc you have a stretched monitor (sorry for stating the obvious)
im pretty sure there's a setting in windows/the game itself that lets you play in fullscreen
however the resolution won't be normal (the display will be slightly wider/horizontally stretched)
yea, try out different ratios in game and check whether it works
