Game is broadcasting voice on open mic without permission
I have not selected opt-in voice chat, i have not selected death mic, all VOIP volumes are set to 0, mic volume is set to 0, my mic is set to a fake mic that does not record my voice, and i have unbound all push to talk keys, yet when i speak out loud without touching any keys my teammates still respond, and having asked them to perform a specific action to show they can hear me, they do

windows also still reports that battlebit is using the microphone
using test microphone just plays back the audio of the selected fake microphone, which is just the game's own audio and does not include my voice
for now i will just unplug my actual mic from the PC, but this is a problem
if that concerns you, just disable battlebit from accessing your mic

yes i looked in those settings already, windows does not seem to have options for disabling specific programs from using the mic
its either completely disabled for everything or completely enabled for everything
which is functionally indentical to unplugging it

windows does not have per-program permissions
it concerns me for multiple reasons;
1. why is it doing this without permission
2. its broacasting all my random tourettes tics that include offensive words that will get me banned
it's required so death microphone feature can work properly, it asks you if you want to enable or disable it when on your first launch of the game, and if it's death microphone disabled - your voice not getting anywhere
you can check it yourself with networktrafficview or such software
in that case, why do teammates respond when i say stuff? i even asked multiple people to do specific unusual actions if they could hear me, and they did them, while i was not touching the keyboard and i was alive in game
no idea but that's not possible if you have voip disabled
