Has J Crew changed the fit/material of their 484 slim fit chinos in the last ~3 years?
I’ve had a few pairs of these for about that long and have loved them. Recently, they both ripped in the knees, so I went to my local J Crew to try on new pairs before buying. What I tried, which was in the size of my previous pairs, was way too tight in the crotch and seemed to be a lot more stretchy (and less cottony) than I remembered. Has anyone else experienced this? Am I just misremembering how they break in, or has J Crew actually changed the construction of them recently?
