How do you search for OCBD shirts on ebay and vinted?
What brands are you looking for? What search queries do you use? What filters do you set?
Bonus question: Do you only buy shirts that have been worn little and are basically new, or also ones that have been worn more but are in an ok condition (no stains or anything)?

look out for miUSA Brooks Brothers ocbd‘s; if you‘re from the US you will have a very large selection to choose from
I find that most vintage / old ocbd’s are usually in good to very good condition
though i do make sure that they don‘t have any stains (you never know what kind of stains there are and some would be an absolute pain to remove)
Otherwise look out for: Gitman Vintage / Gitman Bros ; J.Press, Kamakura, Drake‘s , John Simons
I'm not from the US, but thanks for the tips.
Another follow up question: How do you specifically search for OCBDs? From what I've seen they usually don't have the type of fabric in the description. Do you filter for all shirts and look through the pictures?
Are you from Europe? You can also order directly from Granqvist, a Swedish brand, that makes traditional ocbd’s! They still have some on sale for ~60€
many non-English sellers also just label ocbd’s as oxford shirts
you can usually tell by looking at the photos if it’s oxford cloth versus other types of fabric and weave
Yes, from Europe. Will take a look, thanks!
Their collars are so wide, I wonder if it is just a photo or they are really that open
i don‘t actually know, haven‘t actually ordered from them yet
at least on their photos they look great!
ralph lauren 16 33 -16.5 -"16 1/2" -"lauren ralph lauren" (classic, custom)
is my bread and butter
I should probably add "-yarmouth"
brooks brothers regent -madison (15.5, 15 1/2) 33
(I'm 16x33 in RL and 15.5x33 in BB)
searching for particular fabrics and patterns is hit-and-miss, because things are mislabeled. I don't bother for saved searches, I just look through the new listings every day.
I also keep an eye open for Gitman, Lands' End, LL Bean and J. Press.
J. Press is rare. Kamakura is nonexistent in my experience.
You also have to develop a keen eye and be able to distinguish oxford from pinpoint.
Thanks 👍
