on desktop images (without steam gaming mode)

for nvidia drivers, no
their closed source drivers do not like wayland
because they're stuck in the past
it might be fixed with the next driver update
When I was using regular fedora 39 it worked with wayland
but that's up to nvidia
not the fault of anyone but nvidia
AMD/Intel drivers can work with wayland

people are reverse engineering their drivers
and those are open source
but that will take a while to mature
because it's reverse engineering them
Got an amd igpu, can I run it using that alone?
i dont know how hybrid graphics works in this case and how you can force the AMD GPU to only run the desktop session
if you take the nvidia gpu out maybe 😄

all of this might be fixed soon with their next driver
but that's not releasing until either mid-may or june
