Not actively displaying screen

I have an asus tuf gaming A17 laptop. I can play other games with zero issues. But when i open valorant It will load in ill get to the home page and the second i click play or any other button the screen will freeze. I can navigate through the menu by tabing in and out of the game to update the screen but if i try and load into the range or a deathmatch it just turns black.
