Anyone have recs for usb-c to 3.5mm splitters? I tried this (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08FDLBYYJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1), but the product failed within the first month. Gonna rebuy and see if it was just a one-off issue. I'm willing to pay much more than $12 for a higher quality product, but these types of splitters don't seem to be very common.

so for this particular item it's kinda weird
i had to plug it into my mac without anything attached first
then configure the sound interface
then i plug the 3.5mm into the mic jack
and then it "just works"
not sure if it's like that for alld evices or if what i had was a lemon

oh lol I'll try that. i was getting all sorts of microphone detection and grainy sound issues

yeahhhhhhhhhh it's not perfect
unfortunat4ely this is a world where most product adapters are chinese trash
anything from anker should be solid though

Anker only seems to have a direct, single usb-c to 3.5mm converter, not a splitter (https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Adapter-Female-Samsung-Devices/dp/B08Z3B5QL3/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2K4UDQH4GYT90&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.BZsxhoHBtAl9BrrBhwrZueNYHFmWaGyPF7WP7aJ5W3tRKgoq7J9Htt1O4o2W9Vh0kqAGapmO0baxEki3x7wbC7a5-YSIq-buNpMM6k1ar6bcsNcOlzwQPsK08SuNN6G7PiDxxdme0wqNfEY46yJMNdpSRLOALOI70Y6iCxMhD0ppQ7mck1caTtuTXac6lM53zlETabkycKoJFfCc75rIksJ_EAn4urc1uM9hBmLLSa9eMCHU1Sf9NT4z3UKrlraIyNWzk6CTFbZFBjib-4ibEdmwM0OWarDXVTfc0Pw2AQE.R76CUkohroocItvEuM8PetSliGrbtAXq6nTJwfEv7kA&dib_tag=se&keywords=anker+USB+C+to+3.5mm+splitter&qid=1714583027&s=electronics&sprefix=anker+usb+c+to+3.5mm+splitter%2Celectronics%2C92&sr=1-2#customerReviews). If I had multiple usb-c ports available via a docking station, could I just use two of the Anker direct converters?

well that's just a converter
are you looking for a converter, or a splitter?
well
sorry let me read the product details
if the converter has stereo + mic then yeah
that could work
you just sacrifice another ussb-c port
yeah a CTRL+F for "mic" doesn't yield much

Ah gotcha, really appreciate all the info! Finally got it to work. Had to restart my laptop multiple times for it to detect the KT-microphone portion of the splitter.

+1 for known issue on this, mine presents as mic not being detected and/or audio level pops up and will not let me control audio or dismiss it. Working around being unplugging peripherals and making sure splitter is plugged in first. Basically it forces you to check your audio setup before joining mtgs
