Matsui Nobuyuki: What is this Attachable Decorative “Lapel” and ID

Hello everyone. I’d like to ask if there is a name for a detachable lapel, or lapel-like thing, that resides at the breast of a blazer? In this Matsui piece, it is readily attached and detached from several smooth metal nubs. When attached, it flares out elegantly. They are the two pieces poking out from the interior of the blazer in the photo. And, would anyone be able to ID this stunning Matsui Nobuyuki piece? Totally unexpected recent purchase. Thank you for any help.

Not familiar with the brand, but it does look similar in shape and material to some other items from AW21 on their site. I don't think there's a specific term for the detachable lapel. MN appears to be playing with deconstruction and different tailoring elements, so it's possible the detail you're referring to is their own creation. It is relatively similar to detachable storm collar pieces that sometimes accompany mens blazers/coats. I've had a coat in the past that had the storm collar attached at the inner lapel, and could be unbuttoned and re-buttoned over the collar.' https://www.nobuyukimatsui.com/collection/aw21/

Your explanation sounds very and most plausible—perhaps it’s a deconstructive design of his creation. Thank you.
