Smart-Casual office shoes that are comfortable like Birkenstocks?
My Birkenstocks are my most comfortable shoes, but I can’t wear sandals to work. I do wear a mix of sneakers and loafers mostly. Would desert boots or Wallabees be as supportive/comfortable? I stand most of the day so I need something with cushion.

Birkenstock sell insoles that can go in other shoes
What are you allowed to wear to work?
We have a pretty loose dress code only described as “smart casual.” It ranges from people in business casual to people in jeans and a sweater. I usually wear dark jeans or chinos and a button down shirt. Some typical fits
My guess is that nothing will beat a comfy pair of sneakers, and it seems like that is permissible footwear. I feel like a NB99x could work with most of those outfits. I also wonder if Birkenstock Arizonas would be allowed because of the closed toe.
Good suggestions, thanks!
Wallabees are really comfortable imo and definitely office appropriate based on your fits
same with loafers, i have a pair of GH bass and after the break-in period (which isn’t too bad) they’re very comfortable
I'll check out the wallabees, I've wanted a pair for a while. I have a pair of vintage gh bass loafers and they're not uncomfortable but they're definitely not supportive enough for standing on my feet all day.
yeah i totally get that. I’d say my wallabees are more supportive and comfortable for standing than my GH Bass for sure
Hi OP - what sneakers are those? Thanks.
Hey they are cariuma sneakers
Thank you!
Look nice, will see if they're available here in Canada (gum soles, stitched)
