short shorts - recommendations
I'm looking for some real short shorts, UNDER 5". We're talking magnum PI kinda short. Any recommendations?

Ive been on the hunt for high rise, short inseam pairs so the short : shirt ratio isn't skewed too much, but haven't had much luck. Considering just lopping off some material off a vintage pair of high rise shorts instead
You need some UDT shorts
I've got some deadstock ones on the way already! Luckily i'm not in the US so I don't need to worry too much about the connotation
I doubt you’d get any negative connotation they are pretty non descript shorts. For high rise super short inseam these are the best though
Id recommend checking ebay for any vintage milsurp shorts since they kind fit this model
Im not too fond of the narrower leg opening, but still excited to test em out when they do drop
heat index in my country is reaching the mid-40s so wider openings = more ventilation
I just searched ebay and there are quite a few vintage variants with wider leg openings. Whats your waist size?

I just searched “vintage UDT shorts” but its probably going to get you different results not being on US ebay

Also an option is looking for some cheap or rough OG-107 pants and chopping them into shorts. I found a cheap pair that i took to a tailor and hemmed into shorts at the exact inseam i wanted
Oh thats a good idea, i wouldn't even mind a raw hem on those
They make great shorts and the sateen cotton is great for hot summer weather
