Yes or no on these?
Hi,
Do these teardrops work? Should I go with something more square? I like aviators but deciding if I should continue to wear them or go for something else. Maybe if I lose weight they’ll look good?
Thanks.

Not a fan of either, try something else maybe
And weight has nothing to do with how sunglasses fit
I don't entirely agree with that. In my own personal experience, my weight affects the shape of my face, which affects which glasses look best on me.
That being said, you should buy things that look good on you today, not based on some hypothetical future weight.
Thanks @Char - i am sexytea @jfarrell468 I’m looking at buying a pair of Matsuda’s or JMM’s. Any of those that you think would look good? Or in general do you know what shape I should go with or what sunglasses style I should try?
Depends on the glasses
I’d say just try them on and see which you like
Thanks. @Char - i am sexytea @jfarrell468 do you think I should stay away from these type of frames?
Or do you think those frames would look good? Or should I go with a thicker, acetate frame?
Something more like these?
My experience with glasses is that you have to try them on and see what you like and what suits your face
Wire frames and chunky tortoiseshell are different. One isn't better than the other.
The issue with the frames you were wearing isn't that they are bad per se, they just don't look great on you
#1 the lenses look too big and wide for you face, #2 the lenses are too far apart.
Thanks @jfarrell468 I guess the issue I would run into is liking the look of sunglasses that actually don’t look good on me because I guess I don’t know what to look for in regards to what looks good on me and what doesn’t look good on me. The photos I originally posted of the sunglasses on my face I thought looked decent, but then a lot of people told me they didn’t. So, I worry that I have bad judgment when it comes to what to choose. Is there anything I should specifically look for to make sure they look good or should I just try on a bunch and find one I like and drop a lot of money on them and hope that my judgment is good?
You are the ultimate judge of what looks good and what you like. It's your face and your money. But when I'm buying frames for glasses, I always bring my wife for her feedback, and also rely on the salesperson for help.
I would expect that if these are expensive sunglasses, there should be a salesperson who can help guide you to glasses that look good on your face.
