Will using the same bazzite ssd on another pc without fresh installation cause issue?

the only times (i know of) where moving system disk to a new pc will cause issues is if
- you have set vital mountpoints (ex
/home
to be on a different disk which is no longer present) fail
- have disks that are no longer present automount without nofail
option
- new machine has hardware that requires a different driver to be activated (like broadcom wifi drivers) as they break other hardware of similar type
- your efi or /boot
is on a different disk you did not transfer...6 Replies
I installed Bazzite on an external SSD drive, had no issues with it. You might have to rebase though if you have a different GPU setup between the systems but you shouldn't need to do a fresh installation
Nice thanks
Both are amd
Then you good.
But one is desktop and the other is laptop
Laptop and desktop use the same image
