Black screen when connecting an external GPU through Oculink (Nvidia)
Hi
I'm getting a black screen when launching bazzite-deck while my external 3070ti is connected. It works fine in windows.
any workaround for that? thank you
Edit: its related to gamescope not working with nvidia out of the box, any help configuring it?

nvidia does not work with gamescope session, you can thank nvidia for that as they said were supposed to fix that almost 2 years ago and has done nothing to fix it.
this is why the image picker on https://bazzite.gg does not let nvidia users get the deck image and it is also why our documentation says that nvidia is explicitly not supported in bazzite-deck.
NVK will make gamescope work maybe 1-2 years from now (most likely) on 16/20 series and newer, but that is still far away.
or were you planning to use the 3070ti for a VM while using an amd card for everything in bazzite?

thats a shame
i'm not interested in VM, just wanted to use my 3070ti when docked
is there anyway i can launch desktop mode from terminal? i can open a terminal using alt f2 when i get the blackscreen, but i've not been able to launch kde. Thank you.
there is no support for nvidia whatsoever in the deck image @Rinz so it is not possible until nvidia fixes their crappy driver
hopefully the will in the future, thank you for your help!
all we can hope is for NVK to get better, once that supports gamemode then there will be something on the deck image for those cards
but right now there is nothing
@HikariKnight this is big? https://twitter.com/Plagman2/status/1786544648389025928?t=JQvnXafO9XbP2qiglFUJEw&s=19
That is big
Idk if it's working in gamemode itself yet though
Looks like it's still in pull request form, hasn't been merged in yet but that is great news for gaming on Linux with Nvidia 🥳
