Dual Boot with Windows 10, Desktop

Hi, I am trying to install Bazzite on my desktop pc with AMD Gcard. I have PopOS! installed currently along with windows 10. I want to overwrite the POPOS with Bazzite. The POPOS lives on a 2nd harddrive (2 TB) which is allocated with 100 gb of partition for it. I want to install Bazzite in this partition without losing the data in my 2TB drive(Other partitions). When I was trying to install, I could see only the hard disk is selectable and not the partition to which I can install. Assistance on this will help. Thank you.
Solution:
Hmmm in your scenario... I'd buy a small ssd drive, disconnect the 2TB to be 100% safe and install Bazzite on it's own disk. If you find that you love Bazzite then maybe consider putting it on your main drive.

If you remove the POPOS partition and just tick the right disk that you want to use in the installer. Bazzite shouldn't overwrite Windows. Or at least that worked that way for me. However, when it comes to dualbooting it's never a bad idea to backup first

Thanks, I am not worried about windows being overwritten. My worry is that the 2TB disk has all my important data πŸ˜… and it amounts to almost 1TB. Which is very difficult to back up as I don't have any other drives.

yeah i would say the same, if you are afraid of losing data, always use a spare drive as a sacrifice πŸ™‚
