Is the rotary encoder supposed to interfere with the plate going on? I can't get the plate on without an amount of force that I suspect would break the plate. The encoder is in the top right position. I checked and the encoder works fine so I don't think I've installed it wrong. Would anything bad happen if I just filed the plate down? I need maybe half an mm more of clearance

Oh my bad, it's a tidbit. Here's some pictures

The encoder itself will fit in the slot, but the pins go too far out

Don't really know what to make of it, I imagine if I went somewhere drastically wrong in the installation the encoder wouldn't work in via but it definitely does
Oh wait, I just realized the two plates aren't actually supposed to be able to touch
I'm dumb lol
