constant ping spikes
my ping constantly spikes to 200+ rendering the game virtually unplayable, this mostly happens when im connected via ethernet. speedtests show no issues and this issue is limited to only valorant, other games such as r6, apex dont have this problem

this issue has persisted since ~august last year
further information: DNS settings cloudflare 1.1.1.1 as primary with 1.0.0.1 as secondary cos it has lower general ping than google DNS however i also have the issue on openDNS, google and my routers default. IPv6 disabled and my specs are 5900x @ 4.2Ghz and a 4070ti. 350mbps bandwidth with a 1gbps card, all drivers up to date, dns flushed and winsock reset as well as teredo disabled.
tracert log
it doesnt always happen but its not like it comes after a while i can get on and it'll be there as soon as i get into a match
did you manage to find a fix?
i have virtually the same issue
i use 1.1.1.1 too
@waluigi
nope its been 7 months
does anyone else in ur house play games on a different machine
Hm
@lyra | !! its ur case
also it doesn't appear to be an issue with ISP routing to riot because a VPN still gives the same results
here is BQM graph too, didn't really play val yesterday
@waluigi when was the last time you updated your LAN and WLAN driversm
I've reinstalled both them and windows multiple times since the issue arose, most recently almost 2 weeks ago
have you tried port forwarding?
port forwarded all val ports on both router and windows
correctly set to TCP and UDP as well
i can also provide results if anyone wants
stats of any sort
can you run netstat -e
I'm not home right now but I will be in ~1h
I would have a rdp open but since I reinstalled win I don't
@lyra | !!
im having the ping spikes right now but my BQM doesnt show them
bro i need help with same shi
send viewable clips at least lol
i just waited out my issue
and it workeed
i dont think itll be the same for the other dude tho
dawg what more u need u can see ping spikes on right n infront of u
They like one second clips lol
Nvm my PC was being weird
I can see them on phone
Yeah that's pretty bad
Yeah it happens so often too and its on val only
@Del Bringo sorry to ping you but do you have any idea, its been almost a year with no fix found for me and its heavily impacting my gameplay experience im so close to completely dropping the game
whats your isp?
the dreaded virgin media
but i have tried using 1.1.1.1 VPN as well as others recommended by riot and none of them work
all relevant ports are forwarded
Wifi or wired?
wired
when I switch to WiFi the issues go away for the most part except for the usual WiFi connectivity issues
Uh huh
I would just assume that ur ethernet cord is shit or broken then
I've tried switching cords
Do you know how to log into your home router? I'd check to see if your router is reporting any drops.
That BQM graph is showing quite a bit packetloss.
Hi @Del Bringo I would really appreciate if you would look into my ping issues.
My ISP is ACT Fibernet, I live in Telangana, India. Used to get around 10-15 ping from when I started valorant (mid 2022) until September 2023, I have been consistently getting 35+ ping with inconsistent jitters on my ping. Haven’t changed any of my settings on my router, PC etc. I would really appreciate if you would please look and investigate into this issue. All of efforts have gone in vain and I have finally given up
At the moment, the conditions have become worse and I have been upped to 40+ pings
I pretty much have the similar issue as @waluigi , started around Sep 2023
it's not, and my BQM doesn't show the lag spikes properly
times w packet loss were me playing siege and the server getting ddossed in champ
did you ever find a fix?
its driving me mad
