Error during install
I’m getting the following error during install
error and installation will be aborted.
The command 'ostree container image deploy --sysroot=/mnt/sysimage
--image=/run/install/repo/bazzite-gnome-vidia-starte --transport=oci
H-no-signature-verification' exited with the code 1
I have two nvme SSDs, a 512GB and a 1TB, there’s an existing efi partition on the 512gb but I don’t need to keep it, I’m not trying to dual boot. I’ve just been telling the installer to delete all partitions. I’ve also tried to install to the 1TB disk (with no current efi partition) with same error.
Ryzen 5900x, nvidia 3080
Secure boot is “Other OS”
SSD1 is a Samsung PM961 512GB
SSD2 is an intel 660p 1TB3 Replies
Forgot to say machine is connected to internet via Ethernet, I saw some threads that said poor WiFi performance might be causing that error. I’ve also disabled local dns blocking and set installer to use manual dns server 1.1.1.1 for install.
old info, all isos are offline now
gotcha, I also tried disabling the network adapter entirely 🤷
I eventually solved this, but I don’t really know what fixed it.
I have a theory it had to do with the installer not correctly wiping the existing EFI partition even though I had marked it as delete. I used gparted to delete all partitions then create a new ext4 for good measure.
However that doesn’t explain why the 1TB drive was having the same error, because that drive had no EFI partition at all.
