@dnw you too ok hold on @dnw just to see if it's the new experimental rebase helper, try:
rpm-ostree rebase ostree-image-signed:docker://ghcr.io/ublue-os/bazzite-nvidia:39
rpm-ostree rebase ostree-image-signed:docker://ghcr.io/ublue-os/bazzite-nvidia:39
and if it does the same thing, give me: rpm-ostree status | fpaste @missalexis same thing rpm-ostree status | fpaste send links

libusb1-devel might be the issue here missalexis, your status seems fine libusb-compat-0.1-devel try removing this send the rebase command but add | fpaste after it link it again
tryhardsoccermomswag
oh lol yeah show me a screenshot or copy the log if you can instead silly for asking that for fpaste @dnw yeah so i would try uninstalling those packages and rebooting and trying again wait do you both have issues with key? GPG?
dnw
dnw8mo ago

tryhardsoccermomswag
yeah you both have the GPG key issue
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
yes

let me see https://discord.com/channels/1072614816579063828/1232696879607971880/1232700134903648378 can you rollback to 39 then try to run that command
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
I can't rollback. I can boot my pinned deployment and I get the same error when I try to rebase that same deployment.
tryhardsoccermomswag
wait you layer neofetch? try removing that layer
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
I don't think I did that...just kind of came that way? How do I remove it?
dnw
dnw8mo ago
also same, can't rollback to 39 because i no longer have an entry for 39
tryhardsoccermomswag
rpm-ostree uninstall neofetch
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
do I need reboot after? Then try rebase again?
tryhardsoccermomswag
yes are you on :stable
dnw
dnw8mo ago
yes
tryhardsoccermomswag
im guessing you have an issue with it to rollback to 39
dnw
dnw8mo ago
primarily flickering, probably because of nvidia i would assume
tryhardsoccermomswag
have you tried X11? images default to wayland and nvidia drivers are kind of ass when it comes to wayland
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
ok rebooting brb
tryhardsoccermomswag
hope that fixes it but it may not these new bugs are interesting we tested everything for 2 days and things still happen 😭
dnw
dnw8mo ago
i guess i could try that, im just rn on the normal bazzite instead of the nvidia one
tryhardsoccermomswag
do you play games on it? NVK isn't exactly mature enough yet
dnw
dnw8mo ago
no, just switched to see if it fixes the flickering, which it does
tryhardsoccermomswag
yeah it's the drivers and wayland i would def have nvidia be on X11 by default, but kyle figures it should be fixed in mid-may with the new nvidia driver
dnw
dnw8mo ago
yeah, also hope that is the case
tryhardsoccermomswag
it is nvida drivers are garbage on linux
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
unfortunately same issue 😦
tryhardsoccermomswag
this is a weird one what does the system update tool output? could it even update
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
are talking about ujust update? it does update just fine.
dnw
dnw8mo ago
yeah, i would have prefered amd, but nvidia is like the only one with sff-cards that arent in the entry-range
tryhardsoccermomswag
so it's something with 39/40 that changed something yeah it's ok it's not your fault their drivers are terrible but this isn't your fault
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
For me it's not the end of the world. I can wait until the gamescope thing gets fixed though it would be nice to be able to rebase 😉
tryhardsoccermomswag
i hope it gets fixed tonight it's most likely the newest gamescope update causing this
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
Sweet thank you for helping 🙂
tryhardsoccermomswag
the GPG key stuff is weird in general going to talk to other maintainers
dnw
dnw8mo ago
rebase still outputs the same error, sadly thanks for helping, im going to see if x11 works better
tryhardsoccermomswag
it should i still want to figure the GPG key stuff you both are fine

Failed to download gpg key for repo rpmfusion-nonfree
Hello Silverblue developers and users, When try to update the system I get the following error message: error: Updating rpm-md repo ‘rpmfusion-nonfree’: Failed to download gpg key for repo ‘rpmfusion-nonfree’: Curl error (37): Couldn’t read a file:// file for file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-rpmfusion-nonfree-fedora-33 [Couldn’t open file ...
tryhardsoccermomswag
this will be figured out soon how is X11?
dnw
dnw8mo ago
not there yet
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
I saw that yesterday but was hesitant to execute those gpg commands b/c didn't want to mess things up worse. When I look in the /etc/pki/rpm-gpg directory I see the only prmfusion-nonfree-fedora keys are 40,41,42, latest & rawhide.
tryhardsoccermomswag
yeah dont execute those that most likely won't apply to universal blue
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
Do you have the key it's looking for on your system?
tryhardsoccermomswag
no i let other maintainers know about this, when they're on they will help def do anything you can to have a usable device for now
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
Thank you again. It's definitely usuable. I just use steam in desktop mode, everything running great, I actually really like F40. Getting close to even dumping my Mac lol.
tryhardsoccermomswag
oh right gamescope issues gaw it doesnt affect everyone which is weird both upgrading and fresh installations
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
I have GRE 7900, don't know that makes a difference. And I had HDR enabled in my gamescope session.
dnw
dnw8mo ago
have now switched over to x11, and stuff works fine now, thank you again
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
Nice!
tryhardsoccermomswag
i hope the gamescope stuff gets resolved you arent the only one with this issue it's inconsistent though ive heard it can either be HDR related or something with gamescope's stuff that updated/changed idk i only have 2 devices and they're both AMD CPU/GPU hardware that is a desktop/laptop, so my testing all worked but lots of issues seem to be happening esp with nvidia and htpc/handheld hardware 😔
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
All AMD on my end. Very weird indeed. Was perfect before. I’m sure it’ll get sorted you guys have done something amazing with Bazzite.
tryhardsoccermomswag
is this a HTPC i know it's a -deck image NVM you already said it yeah HTPCs are having an inconsistent issue with gamescope
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
Yes it is. AMD CPU & GPU. Built it just for Bazzite. 🙂
tryhardsoccermomswag
nice can you rebase to :testing?
missalexis
missalexisOP8mo ago
I'm hesitant ;). May I ask why?
tryhardsoccermomswag
HTPCs have this issue i was informed :testing may have the fix, but I'm hearing mixed results still
