levi 501 or 505. try the premium line or look for vintage second hand
I have the uniqlo wide straight jeans (from women's section) and like them quite a bit
In addition to the Levi’s rec, i’ll add Stan Ray and Carhartt WIP
Anyone try Everlane this in particular? https://www.everlane.com/products/mens-selvedge-slim-fit-jean-clear-sky?collection=mens-jeans
Everlane
The Selvedge Slim Fit Jean
This unique denim for our Organic Stretch Selvedge Jean is woven and dyed at the Candiani Mill in Ticino Park, Italy. They weave our organic cotton on shuttle looms to create this refined, long-lasting 12.5 oz denim, with 2% stretch for broken-in comfort from day one.
I like these but wish they were slightly more relaxed but I am pretty skinny so it might not look as noticable
selvedge details are nice but that fit is not the trend
Trends come and go haha
100% this, a naturally beat up old pair will look a lot better than something factory-faded, and will probably cos you a fraction of the price. just make sure to go by measurements and not tagged sizes as vintage levis tend to shrink.
everlane's kind of a crappy company though (greenwashing, maybe union-busting) and it's not like their stuff is so high quality to offset that or the price
if you want slim fit jeans find a pair of levis 511s, but honestly 501s are timeless and not particularly wide https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1116800072093532191/1232371177599664188 https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1116800072093532191/1227303539240472667
everlane bad levis good
For levi 501's would you recommend stretch or no stretch version? Thanks
no stretch.
stretch means they won’t last as long because the elastic wears out
but also something like 2% elastic isn’t going to make a major difference
Thanks
I'll give them a go
