Can you provide detailed information about ultrasonic sensor HC-SR05 maximum detection range?
@boualleg sabrina I'm considering using an ultrasonic sensor HC-SR05 for distance measurements. I'm using it for water lever project, Can you provide detailed information about its maximum detection range and any factors that might influence its accuracy over distance?

actually there is no specific HC-SR05 sensor
you can use the hc-sr 04
Operating Voltage: 5V DC
Operating Current: 15 mA
Measuring Range: 2 cm to 400 cm (approximately)
Resolution: 1 cm
Frequency: 40 kHz
Trigger Pulse Width: 10 μs
Echo Pulse Width: Variable (proportional to distance)
these are specification of the sensor
the way it works is very simple ,it emits an ultrasonic pulse (sound wave) from its transmitter (Trig pin),
The pulse travels through the air and reflects off an object. then ,The pulse travels through the air and reflects off an object.
The time taken for the pulse to travel to the object and back is measured.
Using the speed of sound, the distance to the object is calculated.
there is formula to calculate the distance
Distance = Speed of Sound * (Time Taken / 2)
Speed of sound in air is approximately 344 m/s.
i'm not sure if I can share the arduino code example here , but if you need it I'll do it
Very good..... About the sound wave does it get effected by water? I mean it won't be deformed by result it give me wrong measurements??

I think you can yeah
you just have to keep it protected from water
Solution
Yes it gets affected by water. It bounces back if it hits any liquid
Like any surface it won't be a problem right?
