Limits - Possible expansion qn

Im not able to understand the simplification of the second step to the final step in the solution. I asked the doubt to PW Saarthi faculty but he said the ans is wrong and needs to be 0. Im confused 💀

consider expansion for such questions

without using the cos a + cosb formula? straight up expansion?

myst1cboomer•10mo ago
yeah selective expansion you eliminate the terms that are eliminated and keep those which are cancelled by denominator

Didnt get what your trying to say... so I expand cos() and then (sinx)^2 in the cos expansion?
myst1cboomer
myst1cboomer•10mo ago
exactly not fully though only the terms which can be cancelled

are you sure ans is 1/3 i am getting 1/6

damn. Now idk thats what the option says. My doubt faculty was saying the ans might be 0

in the second sin term x^2 will get cancelled out so wee check for the next lowest power which is x^4/6 sin(x^4/12) / (x^4/12) = 1 so multiply and divide by x^4/12

this way im getting 1/6 did you get it?

i tried a method which is somewhat easier to pop in mind like applying l hospital 2 times and we get easier situration of expansion> but i also have the explanaination of the step you didn't understand

do you understand my feelings from this step

Please excuse me, but im not good at math... can you tell me how you got that -x^4/3! term? 🥲 although i am able to understand the steps and stuff after that, which remove the second sin term effectively getting 1/6 multiplied with first term nvm i got it, thank you for your help! +solved @myst1cboomer @Linarp
