Bluetooth PS5 Controller connectivity issues
Have mentioned this a few times in #🎮bazzite, but not been able to resolve this yet. I have just rebased backwards from latest stable, to
stable:04/06
. But the issues remain. I can connect to my PS5 controller just fine, but if and when I try to reconnect to it after its disconnected it will not connect. It has to be removed from bluetooth devices and repaired again. I even bought a second ps5 controller thinking the first controller was the issue, but its the same for both controllers.31 Replies
rebasing to stable:20240220, bluetooth seems to work flawlessy on this base :)
I should pin the 02/20 image
It was one of the golden images for the LGO
what does LGO stand for?
Legion go
Ah righty, ty
I dont see the option, but can mark this post as solved :)
only see the option to close the post, if thats it?
god dammit... I thought everything was good, but turns out it wasnt...
connecting one controller, works fine. Second controller refuses to connect if there is another already connected.
Been trying to get this working for so freaking long now.. ugh 😔
so maybe not pin it
try blacklisting the hid_playstation driver if you are using it with steam_input
as in
rmmod hid_playstation
?i think that lets it reload
but something like that
ill try, just a sec
nope, just getting this
(as in, same result as before executing
rmmod hid_playstation
)
do u have any idea of how to blacklist?found this on the arch wiki, is it similar on bazzite?
yes its the same
file doesnt exist from before, so i assume i just create it?
yes
there are these, but they dont seem relevant
sadly didnt fix it either
had them connected together for roughly 30sec, but then one of em got disconnected again.
Am quite lost at what do forwards... have tried to rebase backwards to 4 different bases too. I've tested the controllers on my laptop(openSUSE), and they both connect instantly and stay connected too.
theres a lil bluetooth bug going around
drop some dmesg logs
weird no disconnestion
not shown in the log though
not sure if this matters, but it also says that the controller that does connect, fails to connect, even though it does connect
anything in addtion i can do to troubleshoot?
never used a bluetooth controller sooo dunno if i can suggest something else
you can try the same bluez version on your other system
actually
you know what
journalctl -b 0 | fpaste
then turn off the service ds-inhibiti connected each controller just via
bluetoothctl
, and that somehow worked..?maybe its kde then
they're both connected now, and have been the last 10min
hmm interesting
when is plasma 6 hitting Bazzite?
Today or tomorrow or the day after tomorrow
hmm yeah, seems to be working better via bluetoothctl
This issue seems to have been resolved on latest Bazzite
