Helldivers 2 GameGuard Error: 255
Hello i recently install bazzite in a dual boot configuration i have created a seperate partition for steam and to test some games, I have set up steam to use proton GE9-4 but when i try to launch helldivers 2 i get an error failed to initialise on game guard code 255 , I have had alook online but cannot really find much info on the error has anyone encournted this at all? Thanks in advance

I managed to get it to work thanks for the help i reinstalled the game itself onto the ext4 partition it now works

Not one tweak required
Try validating your game files
Tried that also reinstalled and moved the storage also rebooted
also made a new parition moved it from ntfs to ext4
tried to not use proton GE on this game? and use whatever steam sets as default
Yes tried defaults I get the same error is there any type of logging I could turn on it might help try and find the issue
PROTON_LOG=1 %command% as the launch option for the game but since it's gameguard giving the error it is unlikely it will tell anything.
The log file will be in your home directorySolution

guessing it was on ntfs before?
no it was but then i moved it to ext4 still didn't work so i completly removed it and reinstalled nativly on the ext4 and it now works
moving from ntfs to ext4 seems to have some odd issues but a reinstall seems to fix it
