no wifi on rog ally
just did a fresh install of bazzite on rog ally. I dont see an network device at all. The only options i have under network are VPN and Proxy. Did i need to have wired network during initial install? I assumed drivers would work out of the box.

i saw one other user post this question but it seemed a reboot resolved there issue. I have hard power cycled multiple times now, no wifi.
The few times I've seen this it was because Windows was booted first
no dual boot
What BIOS version are you on?
ummm... hold please
also a dmesg would be helpful
sudo dmesg | fpaste
not sure how to get dmesg off the box with no network
ill check bios quick
Sorry hold on
Force of habit
sudo dmesg > ~/Downloads/dmesg
Then you can just copy that file to a drive or somethingbios version 323
Thanks
I'll poke around and if I find anything I'll let you know
@Aru sorry to cold ping, just looping you in in case you've seen this
hey thanks so much kyle... i'll work on getting that dmesg
So I've heard of cases where someone had to boot windows first to "wake up" the wifi, then it started working in Linux
Might've been a firmware update or something, not sure
no windows tho, no dual boot...
so what i ended up doing, was using my phone as a USB tether for network, and then i was able to run ujust update... now wifi shows up
problem solved it seems
thanks for the support tho gents
Well that's odd. Glad to hear an update resolved it somehow
