Secure boot enabled error
Hi, this is a problem I've had for a while. So everything works with secure boot off.
If I enable it it takes me to that grub version 2.06 screen and if I select any of fedora Linux versions I get stuck in the grub screen shown in the video
My question is can this be fixed without a keyboard because I only have a wireless Bluetooth one.
Or
Can you recommend a fix if it does need a keyboard and I'll look for a small portable wired one
Thanks

you will need a keyboard
* disable secureboot
* boot bazzite
* open the terminal and run
ujust enroll-secure-boot-key
* follow instructions
* reboot and enroll mok and enter the password you set up in the ujust command (default will be ublue-os)
NOTE: during the mok enroll screen, the keyboard is US layout, the -
key is the button to the right of 0
in the number row
if you have no keyboard available just keep secure boot off for now or just keep it off in generalIs it important to have it on like what's purpose will anything break or cause any problems? If it's off
its purpose is to just verify that the bootloader and kernel is signed with a microsoft approved certificate (or user approved certificate which is the MOK enroll screen)
But if you don't verify it and leave it off what does that do will it cause any problems? Is it something that must be on?
leaving it off causes no problems and it does not have to be on for us.
if you dual boot with windows then maybe some game with dumb requirements will require it in windows to be on and it will tell you when you try to launch it
Ah in that case I will leave it off since I don't dual boot
out of curiousity, arent rootkits still a security threat for linux as much as they are for windows?
Kennel modules has to be added at build time so they have to be supplied with the image when using oci images with ostree (idk about stock ostree images since I never ran normal fedora atomic but I believe it is similar)
Or you make a custom image.
Haha I donβt think Iβm smart enough to know how that answers the question
It sounds like a no tho
