Should I just get a military surplus bomber jacket?
I want to get a black nylon bomber jacket, and I was looking for some Schott NYC ones since I heard they have good quality compared to Alpha Industries. That said I couldnt find anything in my size that I am willing to spend that much money on. I am just looking for a similar or the same look as the Recycled Nylon MA-1 90's fit bomber jacket with the narrow cut off in the bottom and pockets without flaps

how do you want it to fit on the body? i think generally speaking milsurp tends to fit a bit longer.
schott is definitely better than alpha industries, but to be honest, i've never had a problem with alpha industries bombers- i own 2 of them.
I kinda want it to have a cropped look?
but like not too much
just something to exaccentuate the torso
milsurp isn't a bad option, but bomber sizing can be janky to get exactly what you want so i'd recommend trying one out in person
alpha industries is a bit more cropped on body in general
like with the narrowed bottom area?
idk tho cause like if im spending similar amount of money, I might aswell go with the schott
not a bad pick if the prices are similar. milsurp tends to be cheaper tho, no?
keep in mind also milsurp is produced en masse
yeah but I cant seem to find any with a similar or the same style
also i only know like 1 palce to get military surplus which is universal surplus
i think you may be disappointed by the quality comparatively
i'm not saying milsurp is bad, but when you produce at those quantities, it can't exactly be premium material
wdym? like the quality?
oh
I had the impression the quality of the milsurp would be superior
cause its made for the military
maybe from a utilitarian perspective, but we're all civilians lol we're only going to be using them to look cool and be warm
oh yeah thats fair
