SteamDeck install menu resolution wrong
Hello, I cannot get the install menu to display at the correct size. The scaling is completely incorrect, menus and buttons are not visible. I've tried booting into basic graphics mode but the screen just stays black and never boots. Any ideas?

I am having the exact same issue.
known issue and kyle is looking into it, idk if he found a solution yet though.
currently you will have to play the "press tab until i think it hit the right button" game which is not fun.
Yeah, also having the same issue
Is there perhaps a way to display it on a different screen? I got one hooked up so would be nice if I could switch it to that one
Did previous versions have this issue as well? And if they didn’t, is there a location where I can download isos for those versions?
Is there an active github issue for this? I don't see one in
is:issue label:steam-deck
It's been actively working on and the issue has gotten weirder as all the settings for the right install resolution is there. They just don't get applied.
Last night a workaround was found and that was too use ventoy to load the iso and the settings worked then and the resolution is correct?
So put the iso on a ventoy USB and install with that for now
can confirm ventoy install works
I may be incorrect but isn't this issue almost exclusive to the OLED Deck?
something changed at some point in the isos that made it not work on both (but somehow it works when run through ventoy)
Nope, I have it on LCD

try the basic graphics mode
failing that, we'll have this fixed proper next upstream kernel update
I tried that too, all I get is a black screen.

Unfortunately it didn't work. Will wait for that update.
