Question about Wavy Curve method (inequalities)

I thought the solution would be x belongs to [1,5] but it includes some values which would lead to positive outcomes too, how is this possible? Thanks

There's this Simple trick -> just change the sign of the curve through the critical point if the power to the term containing critical point is odd And if it's even just don't change the sign Oh because it just fulfils the equals to zero thing bruh

Thanks, so if there's an inequality where there's less than or equal to zero/more than or equal to zero, we include all the critical points as they are at zero?
