I'm confused, how can the beads move??? And if they do with the force then how do I relate that to the movement of the rod

they are moving along the sides of triangle ABC in this case they are just in equilibrium so they aren't moving, U have to just make FBDs and solve it. Consider the normal due to triange, tension due to string, forces due to charge and gravity(as it is in vertical plane)

use FBD for every force on the beads namely Normal due to the frame, electrostatic force, tension and weight of the beads
