R2 marketing
Hi, for the cloudflare team, wanted to let you know that the main marketing product page for R2 is currently incorrect and very misleading... as has been asked about and corrected many times in this channel, R2 isn't actually globally distributed at all :/ I just realized this today, and have been using R2 for multiple years at this point, so I'm actually quite surprised. The incorrect top-line descriptions and then basically no corrections or mention of it at all in the docs are really unfortunate.

Agreed, it’s incredibly misleading imo. Funny timing with a tweet I made this weekend about this.
Just checked, it was your tweet that prompted me to do a double-take lol
I’ll ping some folks about this on Monday and hopefully we can push for some meaningful change to better educate folks

A given R2 bucket only stores stuff in 1 location (where you told it to, like with location hints) and has no caching
Any caching on top of public buckets is a byproduct of using the CDN

Not yet. A lot of folks are away on PTO. Still on my todo list
