Crash after long playtime
After 1h or so of the game running continuously minecraft starts complaining about lack of RAM, after one or two restarts the game doesn't even load at all with the same error. PC reboot fixes that

It's trying to allocate huge amounts of it, way higher than what I set in launcher
that's handled by the launcher
so wouldn't be related to steam n rails
I have 16gb physical RAM + paging file that minecraft inflates up to 50gb
One log said it tried to allocate 1048576mb
And it appeared after some update (1.5.3 maybe?) so I'm suspecting some mod issue
definitely not, i don't think we can change how much gets allocated
that's done by the launcher and handled by the jvm
Maybe I just started playing with trains too much xD
what amount did you set in the launcher?

That's way too small for minecraft and will cause lags

6gigs is perfectly fine and it's what is usually recommended
more ram allocated = longer gc pauses = lag spikes
Need to try that
Honestly this was a thing many versions ago (1.7.10ish and with the mods I used) so remembered that since then
so 6144-8192 allocation should work better?
Or not more than 6gb
