How to use OBS replay buffer for something that already happened?
I'm trying out replay buffer so I can record some of my gameplay without having it run the whole time but it only records my screen after I press start instead of capturing the past 2 minutes or so. Is it supposed to be like this I'm confused

not exactly, you would set your recording settings as normal by using game capture, display capture, bitrate etc etc then you would go to settings --> output --> Replay Buffer and enable it then set whichever time you want
after that just set a bind in settings --> hotkeys for Save Replay and enable the Start Replay Buffer option in the main client
then as long as the Replay Buffer is running the keybind will save whatever last amount of time you chose for it
Oh so I have to press start before any round for example just in case and save it when I want to?
you can keep it running the entire game, it instantly removes any time that is older than your set replay buffer limit so it won't take up the same space as normal recording does
also since replay buffer doesn't process and store the information on every frame until you save the clip it doesn't have as large of an impact on the game's performance as normal recording does
though if you did want to capture both clips and record the entire vod that functionality should still work as intended
You have nvidia or amd?
