belt buckle roller or standard

Looking for a simple all purpose belt from shorts to jeans to chinos. What do people feel about a roller vs a standard buckle?

From a technical standpoint a roller belt reduces wear on the leather over time and is useful if you're securing the belt tightly.

IMO not much difference in terms of aesthetics for the buckle itself.

If the belt longevity is a big factor I'd get a roller; otherwise I think a standard buckle is fine provided you're caring for it decently (not yanking it out, for example)
