Surface finish in PCB design refers to the coating or treatment applied to the exposed copper surfaces of the PCB to protect them from oxidation and to facilitate soldering during assembly. Surface finish serves several purposes.
There are various types being specified by the fab house and you will need to choose based on the type you want....
