Grey hoodie
I'm looking to get a nice plain grey hoodie as I think it makes a great layering piece. I'm torn between grabbing one from Camber or if I should pay up a little and grab a loop wheel from a Japanese brand. Any thoughts?

Depends what weight you're looking for too right?
I've heard great things about Camber but they're definitely thick and afaik have a big lead time.
I have a Camber hoodie and really like it. If you get one of their thicker gauge fabrics they're incredibly warm. afaik they don't make loopwheel or french terry style fabrics (at least for their inhouse products). What are you hoping to get out of the camber vs loop wheel hoodie?
I have a Real McCoys loopwheel, it really does feel incredible but you have to baby it when you wash it and it's very expensive. Super warm and comfy, though I wish mine was a little bigger (my own fault).
I guess I'm looking for a piece that I can layer or wear on it's own. something comfy that I can wear with jeans/fatigues/ chinos
Why these two hoodies, instead of a random hoodie from like champion or something?
Camber takes months to get since they aren't intended to be sold directly to customers. The loopwheel ones are very expensive, even if you proxy, and have to be babied in the wash.
From what you're saying I think you'd be better off with Camber, if you can deal with the lead time.

The Real McCoy's Loopwheel Pullover Hoodie - Gray
Loopwheel knits deserve every bit of hype that they get. The mill that produces this fabric for The Real McCoy's only turns out a few hundred meters of fabric a day across all all their loopwheel machines, with each one gently knitting half a meter per hour. The gravity fed nature of these machines, slow rotational spe

Loop Wheel Hooded Sweatshirt - Heather Gray
A classic, vintage-inspired hooded sweatshirt from orSlow, crafted from loopwheeled cotton fleece fabric. The low tension weave leads to the ultimate softness and flexibility in the fabric. This is sure to become a favorite.
these are the two options I was looking at. I like the details on the orslow one better, but not sure about the sizing and it is final sale. might grab a 2x in the real Mccoy and see how I like it
Yeh check goodwill online for example for a vintage one
Oh wait that's sweatshirts not hoodies my bad. But yeah there's a lot of vintage hoodies floating around eBay and other second hand shops
And getting a random new one like a champion reverse weave isn't bad either and is the most convenient option...
you have any fit pics with the real mccoy?
@smiles ?
Ffs God forbid you put any effort in yourself like it's not easy to search on discord
