Help me put this into words...

Why do these look like they're made so cheaply? I get the vibes but I don't know how to word the fact that the construction looks extremely subpar. No stated materials in the product listing aside from the obvious rubber logos. (Retail is USD$30, so they are in fact made cheaply.)
