Clove in-game description
hi there, I though riot has already announce that clove is a non-binary agent right? But in-game description in chinese version say that clove is a girl. 🤔

I'm not fluent, but from my knowledge, it's a choice between a gendered pronoun or something that translates to "it". I guess they found that dehumanizing. Is there a way you are suggesting they write a non binary character in chinese?
I can't think of any replacement yet. Wish they can tryna fix it, cuz I'm arguing this issue with my friend 😂
It's a language thing more of a valorant thing
Not all languages treat gender the same
In the Spanish and English versions, they're non binary, but in the French version they're referred to as both male and female
prob language mistranslation
Understood
They had translate it to 'young girl' not they or them.
"They" translated in most other languages is usually used exclusively for a group of people, so gender neutral looks way different in different languages.
xiao niu hai
i suck at pinyin
In the context it makes sense
that's why I feel weird, why my friend think that Clove it's a girl
does ur friend know english? maybe show ur friend that
Just depends on the language. In English, its more appropriate to use they/them.
Yeah I already told them
Non binary speech does exist in Spanish and French but more people will fight you.
Chill, I'm not arguing with non binary thing, but mistranslation
Oh I'm not arguing, just rambling lol. I'm a linguist, this stuff is just interesting to me.
Forget about it! Maybe I'm using the wrong word. I'm not that pro at English 😂
Everything you're saying is good, sorry to confuse you
It's okay. That's communication is.
