Switch Windows in Game Mode Not Working

The title pretty much describes my issue perfectly. I can launch two apps/windows with one shortcut in gamemode but trying to switch the active window using the menu button doesn't actually switch the window. I can still see and hear the first window and the second window is only visible for the duration of time before the first window opens (game, slower usually). I've tried multiple times and can't seem to get it to work. I'm trying to use the Cheatdeck Decky plugin and it works flawlessly other than this bazzite issue. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated since this would transform my single player game sessions. I enjoy grinding some games but travel time can be nuts (Hogwarts Legacy, DragonBall Xenoverse 2, etc).
