The issue that specific guy was having was just that that domain was in an inactive/moved state in another Cloudflare account his user was in. You don't need to move the registration.
Ah okay. Well My issue is that i have the full DNS already setup and active: https://prnt.sc/8Ql7YbQvYDMY
and then i go to add the custom domain: https://prnt.sc/jCWM_eVmfOx-
and i go through the process to end here: https://prnt.sc/bseQwnJWdWwE
Your user doesn't have access to any other CF Accounts, and those are both in the same CF Account (the pages project and the domain)?
I have access to two email CF accounts, but the CF pages project and the domain are under the same CF email/account.
In the other cloudflare account, does this website (gitcloneship.com) exist in any state?
okay just checked and it's showing this for some reason: https://prnt.sc/utd1at7FYt0N
i'm not sure if that's just from me searching "gitcloneship.com" though
this is for the other account (not where CF pages project + active domain are)
It's not from you searching. It's from you going through the add with it at some point.
Click on it in the another account, where the domain is pending/setup, and go on the overview page, on the right hand side, look for "Advanced Actions", and click "Remove from Cloudflare".
Once you have removed it, retry the Pages Custom Domain adding.
that worked! thanks so much
you're welcome! Yea that's a long-standing issue, it's been reported a few times, one day hopefully we'll see a fix. It sees the domain in setup in your other account first and gives up.
