Exact same with me
@M4st3r_Pud1m Do you still need help?
i oppened a ticket already, but if u have a potencial solution, i'd appreciate it
Is it asking you to also turn on TPM?
nope, only secure boot
sorry for the late reply btw
np
in cmd enter:
diskpart
then: list disk
send a photoAlready did this btw
Are you trying to convert the correct drive?
Just want to make sure you don't break anything
yes, the one with the OS is the disk 0
Safety first
always
Ok
sel disk 0
list par
send a photo
btw, my pc is in portuguese, so if you dont understand something just tell me
We love to see that
You also have no recovery petition
i kinda made a mistake following a guide from reddit, i deleted the partition but i tried to recover it
ah
You should most likely create a Windows installation media
Unless you just want to risk it
That's up to you
yeah, i saw that in a video, can i do it without data loss?
yes
But this is in case something goes wrong
It's a low chance but it still happens
^
^
safety first
do i have to execute it with admin permissions?
Nope
ok
If it asks for admin you should give it to it
But if it doesn't there's no need to
Make sure you have a usb drive on hand because it will ask for one
oh
ok
gotta look for that
brb
got it
dowloading it
when it finishes ill come back
done
@Saucywan
Ok
Do you still have CMD open?
yes
Enter:
list vol
let me just put my pc in english rq
:gr_lurk:
:Lurkk:
I restarted the pc and its asking to download Windows again, do i lose data with this??
Just unplug the usb stick
Ok
Yeah it makes sense
Thanks
here
sel vol 1
done
shrink desired=500
done
exit
mbr2gpt.exe /validate /disk:0 /allowFullOS
now "/convert" ?
mbr2gpt.exe /convert /disk:0 /allowFullOS
same problem
hm
^
can you show me the return of this command
Open disk management
uhum
Yep that's my fault
oops
vol 3 unallocated 500mb from the disk thats not the os
np man

^
^
^
Go to disk management again left click then right click (c:)
shrink volume?
Yup
i think i tried this earlier today
there's no value that let me shrink it
One sec
ofc
Select the Advanced tab and then the Performance radio button
Select the Change box under Virtual memory
Un-check Automatically manage paging file size for all drives
Select No paging file, and click the Set button
Select OK to allow and restart.
this one?
Yup
no problem with this, right?
Press yes
ok gonna restart
brb
ok
going to try the shrink from the cmd
same error
and from disk management the same too
^
^
btw, we need something from the windows media?
What is that partition named recovery
But it's not classified as a recovery partition
Maybe is not because i tried to remake it
Delete it and we'll have enough space
ok
i try to shrink it or i can go to mbr2gpt already?
Shrink it
Same thing
Well whatever try the command
i know that the "reagentc" commnad gives me the message "The Windows RE image was not found'
And you can't just create a recovery partition like that
fair
thats why i tried to recreate it
Enter:
bcdboot C:\Windows /s C:
"Boot files successfully created."
Try the command again
still the same
diskpart
in disk management still the same
sel disk 0
ok
done
sel par 2
ok
active
"DiskPart marked the current partition as active."
exit
mbr2gpt.exe /validate /disk:0 /allowFullOS
yep
it worked
mbr2gpt.exe /convert /disk:0 /allowFullOS
Note if you activate this command your system will become unbootable until you switch to UEFI modeok
before
let me check if uefi is active or not
what?
This means that it is active?
Did you run the command?
Not yet
Your system supports UEFI probably
Boot back into windows and run the command
Ok
back to back
.
You didn't happen to turn on the page file thing again did you
You might want to check if that turned back on
^
still
Check disk management
^
^
ok
^
^
done, now mbr2gpt?
yes
damn it
Run a defrag on your drive
ok
And then try to shrink
^ via disk management
defrag from here, right?
Yes
same as before
Extend the c volume
And then rerun the command
all of it?
mbr2gpt.exe /validate /disk:0 /allowFullOS
yesvalidation ok
mbr2gpt.exe /convert /disk:0 /allowFullOS
oooook
new things
new problems
It finished successfully
It's erroring because the recovery partition doesn't exist
But to be honest you can just skip that
ok
Change the UFEI mode and try to boot to Windows
from the desktop or BIOS?
i can just follow from this
