thoughts on these eBay dress pants?
haven’t done a ton of research on buying dress pants from eBay. would these be good for $45? thanks

If the measurements make sense for you and you like the pleats, then sure. It's gonna be pretty baggy so you should feel comfortable with that.
I was planning on getting it tailored, do you think the bagginess would be an issue with tailoring?
Tapering and hemming shouldn't be difficult.
Taking out the pleats is probably doable but it might not end up looking great, and at that point just get different pants.

I wouldn't buy these. They look like suit trousers not odd trousers
Generally I'd avoid patterned pants (like Glen check, windowpane, houndstooth, etc) - flannels and herringbones are good though
Also navy isn't a great color for odd trousers anyway
I disagree that navy trousers are always bad, they can be good in certain occasions or outfits
But the ones I own are plain and pleated

Ohhh okay, yeah if OP was to only get 1 pair of dress pants I'd recommend gray or even like a brown. Gray is better tho
yeah mid gray probably the most versatile/useful
Yeah I want a mid gray pair myself because I have a navy sport coat that I could pair with
