how do i get the vercel bot to comment on prs? Not sure why but it doesn't seem to do it on default

hmm, it should do that automatically unless its disabled in project settings. Can you check it under vercel.com/<org_id>/<project_id>/settings/git and see if it's enabled there?

yeah you should file an issue with vercel team to look further? Another possible reason might be that the vercel app isn't configured to have write access on repositiory (I'm not sure what exactly the permission name) but that might be causing the issue.
