Has anyone ever been able to open an hdfc bank account completely online?

My dad did it almost entirely online
He later needed to go to the branch to enable netbanking however, they require that for senior citizens to prevent scams I suppose.
Before doing that, it was partially enabled but with some transaction limits if I remember correctly
