Denim shirt to wear with a tie
Hi!
I would like to buy a denim shirt to wear maybe with a tie.
What brands would you recommend (either ebay or new - but ideally second hand 🙂) and what measurements should I pay attention to?
I bought a couple ralph lauren denim shirts on ebay that were the right pit-to-pit length and length for me, but one was too tight in the neck when closed, the other felt thinner and wider in the belly (maybe more of a casual shirt?).

if you want to wear it with a tie then imo neck and sleeve measurements are usually what you should be looking at
pit to pit and overall length are of course important but I wouldn't even check those unless the neck is the right size
Check out Spier and Mackay. Their shirts usually have numerical neck sizes and robust collars that can comfortably fit a tie
