in our docs you can see that the supported versions of Next.js are 13 and 14: https://github.com/cloudflare/next-on-pages/blob/main/packages/next-on-pages/docs/supported.md#supported-nextjs-versions
Next.js 12 might somewhat work but back then the edge runtime was still highly experimental and we don't support it very well at all...

I would suggest you to, if at all possible to try to migrate to 13 before trying to use next-on-pages
