Found some shoes for it
Any thoughts tho?
my first thought is a question: what are you trying to change your image to? without knowing that, i could only give comments based on my tastes in styling, not how well you've executed your goal
I'm not sure
Just classy
Business casual
What kind of image do I give off?
'classy' and 'business casual' are terms that are very broad and up to interpretation
question 1 is is that picture what you currently dress like in your every day life?
No just trying something new
question 2 is do you have any images of what you would like to change your image to? that will probably lead to a more specific answer
if need be check #waywt or #inspiration or other sites to find good reference pictures
Well I just googled business casual and this was the first thing that I found
I need to be able to go to meetings
Maybe I formulated my question the wrong way
is your workplace's dress code specifically 'business casual'?
Not neccessarily
Im not in a company per se
Im the youngest in a family company and Im having meetings for a side gig
And being a young guy I want to be taken seriously but not dress like an older gentleman if that makes sense
that definitely makes sense
some of this will be dependent on the specific industry this is in (working in something like law or finance will require more formality than something like tech or the arts)
the image you've posted is a good baseline for 'business casual' as far as the outfits go, but i think it may be a little dated
a less tapered pant is more on trend currently; the suoer skinny pant (like in the picture) can read a little juvenile
a black loafer or oxford will be a more useful shoe than the double monkstrap (in pic 2)
but honestly the most impactful thing you can do is to find out how the people you're meeting with dress and try to mimic that (whether it's business casual or not); they're more likely to see you as an equal or peer in that sense
That makes sense
Thx for the advice
