discord taking priority audio
hi, every time i play valorant while also being in a discord call(doesn’t matter app, website, etc)- the discord call takes priority and ruins my valorant audio(makes it distorted and also turns it into mono audio so i can’t distinguish left and right), is there any fix for this? thank you in advance

How do you know this is a discord issue?
Also what headphones are you using?
When you enter a discord call does all of your audio quality lower?
Not sure if it’s a discord itself issue, headphones are skullcandy plyr, and it’ll lower every audio(from games to youtube videos)
That sounds like a Windows feature.
Yup
Open this
go back to the playback tab
You can see I have two options one with hands free
Play a bit of audio and see what graph moves up
where do i go from there
Which one is moving?
The hands free one?
when connected to call the communication one would graph and playing audio the default one would graph
See it's hard to explain
Even you screwed it up
it only has the base headphones
there’s no hands free option
Is there two sets of the same thing
So like for my example there's two sets of air pods but one is headphones and one is a headset
no
the only option for my headphones just says headphones
And the one you're looking at is the headphones you're using?
And looking at the one that has the graph moving? correct?
yes
Go to the recording tab
am there
Find your headphones again
And send me a photo
Go back to the playback tab and send me a photo
Scroll down to the bottom
Go to the communications tab
Set this to do nothing
same thing there is in dicsord we need to do i guess
found it
this
gain control
turn it off
i also turned gain control off
Try the game
its still distorting the audio
should i look into headphones themselves?
Hm
Have you downloaded the necessary software for the headphones?
i have this set up center for it
i’m pretty sure i can configure stuff on there
Did this start happening after you install the software?
i think it’d been happening beforehand but i’ll uninstall the software to see if that does anything for it
it’s still messing with the audio
