slow donwload speed from CNAME
Download speed of files from a subdomain with Cloudflare's cname is quite slow.
Downloading from the original URL without going through a subdomain is very fast.
How can I solve it?

Are you saying proxied vs unproxied, or what do you mean "Cloudflares CNAME"?
Proxied
@Chaika
If there is a large amount of access to this cname address (proxied), file downloads will be slow.
Is there any solution?
I can give you money, but
For example,load blancer, cache reserved,etc...
I don't know the setup
Could be getting routed to somewhere far away. If you go to your site and the path
/cdn-cgi/trace
, for example: https://yoursite.com/cdn-cgi/trace
while its proxied, you can look for the colo={something}
line, which will be the airport code of the location you hit.
Cloudflare's terms of service also don't allow you to proxy a disproportionate amount of non-html, something to be mindful of.Thx reply
I checked it, but not far away,
I understand cloudflare's terms and conditions, but is there no solution by billing or something?I'm thinking of buying new domains and make another cloudflare accountand proxying them as well, splitting the load 50% each.
It's so if you have large files like videos, programs or so you have to use Cloudflares R2 or a different product (don't know the name). R2 is for free as long as you don't hit the free limitations.
hello
I don't hesitate to pay for it, I will consider to use R2
With R2's proxy, are there any problems such as slowdowns even with large files?
The online storage service I'm currently using is not compatible with R2,
so I have to manually save all the files to the local HDD ,
and then need move them to R2 (by the way, each file is about 5-30MB, There are over 100,000 files)
I don't currently have a large capacity HDD, so I have to buy one from Amazon etc.
Therefore, I would like to check whether the R2 proxy does not slow down even if there are many accesses,
thanks for reply
:GammaSweat: I guess #r2 is a better place to ask or just wait here I never really used R2 sorry
@Akama Aka | Cloudflare Simp
you fine,
thanks for reply
